It's time for food again! This time, we're going sweet. Because next to eating healthy and counting calories, we deserve a reward from time to time. Here is an easy yet delicious cake that will catapult you and your guests to seventh heaven...

Your best friend is coming over and you would like to have something sweet with your coffee? Your parents-in-law are coming for a sunday visit and you totally forgot to buy the ingredients for the three-tiered marzipan cream cake? No problem! With this recipe for a gourmet apple pie, they won't leave you without a Christmas gift this year. All you need is five ingredients (which is typical for EFT-recipes), a loaf pan and some motivation. Let's go:
3 Apples
150g flour
75g butter
120g sugar
4-5 tbsp applesauce
Peel the apples and cut them into small cubes. Put them aside and mix the flour and the sugar in a salad bowl. Then add the butter (DON'T melt it beforehand, it has to melt with the warmth of your hands) and knead everything together until you have a crumbly dough.
Grease the pan with a little bit of butter and spread the apple-cubes over its bottom. Add the applesauce on top of this layer and use it to fill the gaps beween the cubes. Finally, let it snow and sprinkle your pie with flakes of dough. The bigger the streusel, the greater the taste!
And that's it! Simply put it in the oven for 25 minutes (180 °C) and get ready for a unique experience of food porn. Depending on the season, you can try the same recipe with any kind of fruit. A mix of apple and pear or plum for example. There are no limits to creativity.
The Chef's Secrets
The cherry on top of this delicious cake would be a dash of cinnamon that you can add to the batter while working it. This is not only perfectly suited for the Christmas season, but adds an indispensable flavor to your masterpiece all year long.
This pie tastes best when it is still warm and comes right out of the oven. To make the relish absolutely perfect, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream as well as a reasonable amount of whipped cream on top. But be careful, there is a high potential of addiction...
